Charter Communications - Botched install, lengthy claims process
Charter has completely taken advantage of the privately owned broadband connections and monopolized the market. Because consumers have no other choice but to use Charter, the result is an extreme lack of customer service and frequent price inflation.
When I reluctantly switched to Charter for the hope of faster service, it was a nightmare from the day the installation tech came to install my service. After waiting for 2 hours for him to show up he botched the install by running a black cable at eye level along the front of my home and permanently screwed it into my siding. Yes the service was working when he left, but I didn't notice the extremely unattractive and damaging install until the next day. Naturally, I was unsatisfied with the unattractive cables and called charter to request a different technician come re-install the line and I filed a claim to have my damaged siding replaced.
Now for install #2.. wait another couple hours for this guy to fix the other technicians mistake. Of course Charter has now charged me for 2 installs. Now for the claimโฆ wait another 2 hours for the claims adjuster to show up and take pictures.
And now itโs my responsibility to get multiple estimates and submit them โfor reviewโ. I wasn't offered any form of compensation and basically had to beg for them to refund the 2 install charges. Itโs become very obvious that customer satisfaction is not a priority for Charter. I have decided not to pay my bill (which Iโm being billed a month in advance for) until the claim is rectified.
Clearly, the process has taken longer than their standard payment grace period of 10 days, so they have now disconnected the service. The headache, phone calls, and wasted time are not worth it to save a couple bucks.
Iโm going back to AT&T and will NEVER do business with Charter again. I encourage you to all do the same!

the installer that came here to install the digital boxes ran the cable on the side of the house where he was told not to. There were 2 installers to do a one man job, one had been drinking and appeared to be drunk.
finally told them to leave would run the wires my self. took the large box off the house,ran the wire inside along with the connections.
Not happy at all with them looking for ANOTHER provider. They provide absolutely no customer service just collections,
